Jim Gavin has grown up in the real estate and auction business. He, along with his brother Matt, is the fourth generation of Gavin Bros. Auctioneers. He officially joined the company in 2005 when he received his Real Estate Salesperson license. One year later he graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering and became a licensed auctioneer. He received his Real Estate Brokerage license in 2007 and then graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in 2008 with a BA in Business Management and came back to join the family business. Jim specializes in farm and vacant land listings throughout South Central Wisconsin and has helped clients conduct auctions throughout the entire state of Wisconsin.
Jim is a member of the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association, National Auctioneers Association, Wisconsin Realtors Association, National Association of Realtors, Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin, and the Multiple Listing Service. Jim serves on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Auctioneers Association and attends numerous conferences, trade shows, and continuing education classes to further his knowledge of the real estate and auction business. Jim became the Wisconsin State Champion Auctioneer in 2016.
In 2016 Jim married his wife Jenni. They currently reside in Baraboo, WI. In his free time Jim enjoys spending time on the farm where he and his brother raise Red Angus cattle and crop farm. He also enjoys time spent in the great outdoors hunting and fishing with friends and family.
